The Bible Way To Salvation

Jesus said that only one thing will get you to Heaven and that's the new birth.

John 3:3 --"Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. "

In verse 7 of that same chapter Jesus said, "Ye Must be born again," restating the necessity of the new birth.
The Savior told us that we must be born again to go o Heaven and just as important He also told us how to be born again.

First: You must realize that you are a sinner and that your sin separates you from God.

Romans 2:23 -- "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:12 -- "They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable: there is none that doth good no not one."

If we are honest with ourselves we are forced to admit that we are sinners, who can honestly say that they never committed one sin in this life? Not one person -- you, dear friend, must admit that you are separated from God by your sin. That is the first step in being saved.

Second: There is a penalty of sin.

Romans 6:23 -- "For the wages of sin is death..."
Revelations 20:15 -- "Whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

God's Word says that sinners (all of us) will spend eternity in the lake of fire as the just payment for sin. If that were the end of the Bible there wouldn't be any hope for any of us, but that isn't the end of the Bible -- God loves us!

Third: God loves
you personally and has provided a way for you to have complete forgiveness of sins. He wants to give you eternal life!

Romans 6:23 --"...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Chris our Lord."
IPeter 2:24 -- "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree (cross) that we being dead to sins should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes we were healed."

The Lord Jesus Christ came into the world to live the perfect, sinless life that you could not live, and then die on the cross as your substitute. There on the cross your sins were placed upon Him. He took your punishment for you. He died in your place, was placed in the tomb and on the third day was resurrected. He came out of the tomb bodily, having victory over death, Hell and the grave. This proved that He was the promised Messiah, and that He has the power to give you eternal life. Wouldn't you like to have eternal life?

Fourth: The logical question becomes this: How can I be born again and have this free gift of eternal life? The Bible tells us very plainly how we can be saved and know it for sure.

Romans 10:9 -- "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved."
Romans 10:13 -- "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

If you believe in your heart that Jesus came out of the grave bodily and that He is the only way to salvation as He said (John 14:6 --"I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.") you are ready to take that step that will produce the new birth in your heart and soul.

How Do I Take That Step?

1. Repent of your sins. This means more than to be sorry for sin, but also a willingness to turn from your sins and follow Christ and His teachings.

2. Receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior by calling upon Him to come into your heart and save you from sin.

If you are willing to receive Christ into your heart right now, repeat this prayer, sincerely from the heart: "Lord Jesus, I realize that I am a sinner. I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You arose from the dead to give me eternal life. I right now ask You to come into my heart and save me from my sins. I accept You as my personal Savior and the Lord and Master of my life. In Jesus' name I thank You. Amen."
